The kingdom of Vrebet is an ever adapting machine where everyone has their place. The rich nobles play at politics, constantly vying for stronger positions and willing to backstab and betray their way to greater power. The poor work in mines, in construction, in crafting weapons and tools to further the ambitions of the ruling families. They barely scrape together enough to eat while those above them live in excess. Vrebet has long had a monopoly -- a capital of trade, nobody has dared oppose them. Anything of decent quality will have been made in Vrebets great manufacturing quarter, no matter how far away you may have bought it. They have armed friends and enemies alike, for the right price.

Yet something needs to change. The people have suffered too long, and the corruption at the heart of the kingdom has only worsened. There are rumours of an uprising, whispers of those long thought dead living in a small group of outcasts. Whispers of magic itself turning on the great mages who have been abusing it, of strange people dragged through rifts.

LEYLINES is a panfandom fantasy game full of politics, espionage, and of course magic. Players can choose to assist the ruling families of Vrebet, to help the rebellion make a difference or to simply work for themselves.
